Microsoft is moving "Teams Public preview (P) to Early Access (EA)

Public Preview for Microsoft Teams provides early access to unreleased features in Teams. Previews allow you to explore and test upcoming features. You can also provide feedback on any feature in public previews. Public preview is enabled per Team user, so you don’t need to worry about affecting your entire organization. The option to turn on the public preview is controlled by an admin policy (see below how to turn on public features).

Now Microsoft is moving from "Public Preview (P) to "Early Access (EA).

Microsoft Teams Update Policy -

  • Login to Microsoft Teams Admin Center,
  • Navigate to Teams, select "Teams Update Policy"
  • and choose the existing Global policy if you want to allow everyone in the company to access earlier features or Create a New Policy.
  • In the policy under "Allow public preview" select "Enabled".

The changes take 24 hours for replication.

Once replicated, you and the users will see the "Public Preview" option under Profile Settings ---> About --->Public preview.

Upon selection, the Teams client will switch to Public Preview mode to access early features.
