How to set the remainder for Teams Chat using Power Automate

Today, you can put a reminder on outlook. Outlook reminders are timed messages that remind you of various work-related tasks. You can use them to manage different types of tasks, emails, meetings, and appointments.

You can set Outlook to display your reminder window on top of other programs you're working in. You can also add a reminder for yourself or for the recipients of your email messages.

In Microsoft Teams, you don't have an option natively to set the remainder of any chat messages. However, you can create a To-Do task and set the remainder/follow-up in Taks/Planner.

This article will look at how to use Power Automate to create a follow-up on messages.

Step 1-

Right-click on the message you want to set up a follow-up and select "More actions" and select "Create new action"

Step 2 -

In the Power Automate workflow window, choose "Follow up on a message"

Step 3 -

In the Follow-up on a message window, Type the "Name" connect to Microsoft Teams and Office 365 Users, and click "Add workflow"

Now the Follow-up workflow is created. You can click "Manage your workflow" to manage your flow settings.

In the manage workflow window, you can modify/add new actions.

Step 5 -

You have created the workflow to set the remainder of your chat messages. Right-click on the message and select the new flow name you created above.

Step 6 -

Set the Date and Time and any notes for your remainder and click "Submit".

Step 7 -

You will get a message notification on the activity feed at the scheduled time.
