How to schedule Teams Chat Message Reply using Power Automate

Microsoft released a "Send at scheduled Time" chat feature in early 2023. You can schedule a chat message and send it to your colleagues, which helps you communicate better with team members in different time zones.

Note: - 

  • You can schedule a message to be sent in increments of 30 minutes.
  • You cannot schedule a message in the custom time window.
  • You can only schedule a message for up to 7 days.
  • You must put the messages in something other than urgent/important priority.
  • You can attach the files, but they are only accessible after delivering the message.

However, you cannot schedule a reply chat message natively. So, you can use Power Automate to schedule a reply chat message to meet your needs.

Right Click on the chat message, choose more actions, and then select the "Create new action" button.


In the new flow action window, choose "Schedule a reply"


Under Connections, click and add "Microsoft Teams." connect with your Org accounts and then click "Add workflow" and complete the setup.


Right Click on the chat message that you want to schedule a reply and choose the newly created workflow (Schedule a reply).



Schedule your message and click "Submit"


You will get a notification on your activity feed at the scheduled time.


You can check your flow and optimize your flow using "Power Automate".
