How to configure Teams Audio Conferencing Call-Me /Dial-Out calls to route via On-Prem managed voice gateway for Non-Zone A country users

Please check this article to understand how call-me and dial-out features work in Microsoft Teams using Microsoft Audio Conferencing pool minutes.

Microsoft Audio Conferencing provides 80 + numbers for 60+ countries, you can access the conferencing numbers either through https://dialin.teams.microsoft.com or the "Find Local Number" option on the Teams calendar invite.

There are many countries that are not included on the audio conferencing "Zone - A" countries list, so if anyone from a Non-Zone-A country wants to use the "dial-out and call-me" feature either they need to assign a communication credit license or if you have an existing Direct Routing implemented on your tenant, you can route the calls to PSTN.

In this article, we'll see how to configure the policy to route the calls to PSTN via Direct Routing SIP Trunk.

Note: -I assume that you are already implemented Direct Routing for PSTN calls. I'm taking the United Arab Emirates as an example of a non-zone-A country for this configuration.

You need to configure the Online Audio Conferencing Policy and assign the policy to the user.

Once the Online audio conferencing policy is assigned to the user for any new meeting the call-me and dial-out PSTN calls will be routed via the On-Prem voice gateway using a direct routing setup.

You can validate the calls in the PSTN Usage report,
