Heads-up - Starting from April 2024, Microsoft is mandating classic Teams users to switch to the updated version of Teams 2.1. To ensure a seamless transition, it is important to document the changes required for QoS configuration to optimize your Teams call quality with the new Teams client. Unlike the classic Teams client that uses the teams.exe process, the New Teams 2.1 uses the ms-teams.exe process.
To ensure a smooth transition, it is recommended to create a new QoS policy through Intune/GPO under HKLM:\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\QoS for Audio/Video and Sharing. This will help you to maintain a high-quality audio and video experience during your Teams calls.
